Decart said it is aiming to transform video marketing with the release of Lucy 2, a new open-source AI model capable of editing long-form live video streams in real time using natural language prompts.
The model is designed to generate high-quality video while dynamically editing content on the fly, removing the need for post-production editing. According to the company, this enables new marketing use cases across live streaming, virtual try-ons, personalised product placement and interactive brand experiences.
Lucy 2 distinguishes itself from other video generation models, such as those developed by Google and OpenAI, by processing incoming video with sub-second latency. Users can apply stylistic changes, manipulate objects and characters, and modify environments while video is being generated, without disrupting the livestream.
Decart said Lucy 2 integrates diffusion models optimised for temporal consistency and low latency, allowing it to ingest live video from multiple sources, including smartphone cameras, webcams and RTMP streams. The model operates at 1080p and 30 frames per second, producing continuous output without flickering or visual artefacts.
The company said Lucy 2 also improves prompt adherence, enabling creators to use more complex instructions while maintaining lighting, motion and scene consistency. This allows marketers and creators to experiment with dynamic visual effects and transformations in real time.
From a marketing perspective, Lucy 2 could significantly impact livestream-based influencer collaborations and branded content on platforms such as Twitch and TikTok. Decart’s Delulu Stream tools, now powered by Lucy 2, enable streamers to apply real-time visual effects, respond to audience prompts and showcase products dynamically during live broadcasts.

The technology also enables brands to create virtual ambassadors that operate continuously, allowing for always-on livestreams that answer consumer questions and demonstrate products without relying on human influencers.
Lucy 2 may also enhance virtual try-on experiences in e-commerce by enabling more realistic, motion-aware visualisations. Shoppers could see how clothing or products look and behave in real-world environments, improving confidence and engagement during the purchase journey.
Decart said Lucy 2 has been optimised to run on advanced GPUs from Nvidia, as well as on cloud infrastructure from Amazon and Google Cloud. The company estimates sustained real-time video generation costs around $3 per hour.
Decart Chief Executive Officer Dean Leitersdorf described Lucy 2 as a breakthrough for real-time world models, saying the technology opens new markets across live media, virtual commerce, gaming and robotics.
