  • Flagship Pioneering, a scientific innovation engine for platforms and products, has unveiled Extuitive, an AI-first company built to help small businesses grow by redefining how consumer products and targeted creative content are designed, validated, and launched.

Extuitive’s platform deploys the science of emergence through agentic AI – sophisticated, autonomous software agents trained to act as consumer researchers, marketers, and product designers, providing small businesses with instant access to enterprise-grade innovation tools once reserved for large corporations.

Founded from Flagship’s Pioneering Intelligence Initiative, Extuitive is an AI-native venture at the frontier of AI, science, and entrepreneurship, pushing the boundaries of innovation.

It is the latest example of a Flagship company grounded in polyintelligent design, combining human creativity and imagination, nature’s adaptive genius and the reach, scale, and speed of machine intelligence.

The company launches with an initial commitment of $20 million in seed funding from Flagship to accelerate platform development and grow a pipeline of users.

“At Flagship, we believe the most profound breakthroughs come from challenging assumptions and expanding the frontiers of possibility, whether in biology, sustainability, or now, intelligence itself,” said Noubar Afeyan, PhD, Co-Founder and Chairman, Extuitive and Founder and CEO of Flagship Pioneering.

“As AI increasingly becomes an engine of discovery and design, we see a unique opportunity to transform entire industries, starting with how consumer products and targeted creative content are imagined, tested, and brought to market.”

“By applying advanced AI to democratise product innovation and marketing, Extuitive is enabling a new class of entrepreneurs to create and amplify with the speed, insight, and sophistication once limited to the world’s largest companies.”

Despite representing more than 40% of US GDP, small businesses have long been excluded from the tools and research needed to develop and scale innovative products and reach target customers through effective content.

Extuitive’s AI platform closes this gap by delivering:

    • Creative generation: AI agents instantly develop multiple pieces of creative content or product concepts tailored to an entrepreneur’s products and audiences.
    • Simulated consumer testing: Proprietary behavioural models predict market fit before a dollar is spent.
    • Real-time validation: Marketing, product designs, and messaging are instantly tested and refined for specific audiences.

Extuitive builds on the work of Affinnova, a Flagship-founded company focused on algorithmic design and consumer-driven product optimisation, which was acquired by Nielsen in 2014.

By advancing those early innovations with the power of AI and polyintelligence, Extuitive is changing the way products are envisioned, developed, and grown, enabling the best ideas to reach the market faster and at greater scale.

“With Extuitive, we’ve created a platform that simulates real human preferences with remarkable precision, allowing entrepreneurs to generate, refine, compare, and validate products and targeted creative content with accuracy and speed,” said Armen Mkrtchyan, CEO, Board Member, and Co-Founder of Extuitive and Origination Partner at Flagship Pioneering.

“By embedding agentic AI into every stage of the product innovation lifecycle, we’re collapsing the time and cost barriers that have traditionally slowed product innovation without sacrificing rigour or consumer relevance.”
