TikTok Launches New AI-Powered Ad Creative Tools

  • TikTok has announced a set of new AI-powered creative tools under its Symphony brand suite, including text-to-video and image-to-video generation features, along with AI avatars designed to present products in video ads.

    Unveiled during the Cannes Lions advertising festival, the updates aim to simplify content production and help brands develop TikTok-native creative assets more efficiently. The newly introduced text-to-video feature enables marketers to input a short text prompt and automatically generate platform-styled video content. 

    According to TikTok, this allows advertisers to rapidly test and iterate on creative ideas before committing to full-scale production. 

    “We’re entering a new era of creativity, one where ideas move at the speed of culture, and where AI doesn’t replace imagination but rather accelerates it,” said Andy Yang, Global Head of Creative and Brand Products, TikTok. 

    “With TikTok Symphony, we’re empowering a global community of marketers, brands, and creators to tell stories that resonate, scale, and drive impact on TikTok. By blending cutting-edge technology with human creativity, we’re building a new creative standard, one that’s more accessible, more agile, and more inspiring than ever before.”

    In addition, TikTok has rolled out an image-to-video function. Brands can upload a still image along with a brief prompt, which the system will convert into five-second TikTok-first clips. These can be stitched together to create short-form video ads.

    Both tools align with broader industry trends, as platforms like Google and Meta continue investing in generative AI to support faster, more affordable ad creation.

    TikTok is also introducing Symphony Showcase Products, a new feature where AI-generated avatars present products in promotional videos. These virtual presenters are designed to help brands connect with the TikTok community through more dynamic, conversational content.

    As generative AI technology evolves, TikTok’s tools are positioning the platform as a creative hub for marketers looking to scale native-style content while reducing production costs.
