Powered by HeyGen and supporting over 30 languages, these new capabilities enable brands to effortlessly translate, dub and personalise video content directly within the Wistia platform, expanding global reach while delivering authentic experiences to audiences across diverse markets.

With 57% of brands investing more in video in 2025, video content has become a critical element of successful global marketing strategies. Furthermore, 84% of businesses report revenue growth from localisation, underscoring the value of adapting video assets for international audiences. Wistia’s new video localisation features help companies scale their content, enhance engagement, improve search rankings and reduce costs – delivering measurable return on investment (ROI).

“With this launch, we’re harnessing the full potential of AI to make it seamless for businesses to connect with audiences around the world,” said Chris Savage, CEO of Wistia.

“Our new localisation capabilities empower brands to transcend borders, unlocking marketing opportunities they never thought possible. It’s a transformative moment, allowing brands to easily tap into new markets with a personal, localised touch.”

Wistia users simply upload their video, select from a range of languages and the platform generates AI-powered translations. These translations can range from basic transcripts and captions to fully dubbed versions with lip-syncing, all while maintaining a consistent video file for easy management and distribution. In 2024, nearly half of all videos uploaded to Wistia included at least three accessibility features, up from just 11% in 2021, reflecting the growing focus on video inclusivity.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Wistia to bring HeyGen’s GenAI video technology to their customers,” shared Kevin Raheja, Head of Product Partnerships at HeyGen. “This unlocks an entirely new level of global reach and engagement and reflects our shared commitment to making video communication more accessible, inclusive and powerful.”

The new features were tested by customers during a beta period in Q1 2025, with Wistia offering 60-minutes of free dubbing to provide a firsthand look at the value. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many users praising the ease of use and high quality of the dubbing process.

Beta user Matilyn Meadows, Marketing Manager at Aster Brands, shared, “This is such a great feature! We’ve tried it out and received excellent feedback from our team who speak the dubbed languages natively. I see this as a tool we will frequently use.” Customer Frédéric Chênevert, Director of Products at Institut TA, added that it is “well-executed, super simple to use and, by far, the best tool I’ve tested so far.”

Wistia’s AI-powered video translation and dubbing features are available to all customers on paid plans.
