Albertsons has launched Celebrations, a digital party-planning hub available across its websites and mobile apps.
The platform is designed to help customers organise events by combining product discovery, catering options and personalised recommendations within a single interface.
Celebrations integrates the company’s AI shopping assistant, which offers tailored suggestions based on event themes, customer preferences and previous purchases. Shoppers can customise cakes, browse decorations and florals, explore catering menus and access curated inspiration.
The platform also allows users to shop Albertsons’ private-label products, add personalised notes to orders and choose between delivery and pickup fulfilment options.

Jill Pavlovich, senior vice president of digital customer experience at Albertsons, said the goal is to enable customers to plan full celebrations with the same convenience as ordering weekly groceries.
The launch builds on Albertsons’ broader AI strategy. In December, the retailer introduced an agentic AI shopping feature that generates meal plans, creates shopping lists, reorders frequent purchases and curates themed product suggestions. The assistant is integrated into the Celebrations platform.
Albertsons also recently rolled out an offsite shopping capability that allows consumers to add items, recipes and promotions from display advertising, social media and connected television directly to their online carts.
For retailers, the expansion reflects growing use of AI to simplify complex purchase journeys and increase engagement beyond routine grocery transactions.
