    Novomed goes live with Okadoc’s doctor booking platform, allowing Novomed patients to conveniently schedule their own virtual and in-person appointments online in just 30 seconds or less.

    The new technology gives patients direct access to more than 100 doctors across 10 facilities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, including secure encrypted video consultations.

    To make healthcare services more accessible for residents and visitors of the UAE, Novomed has been working on implementing several systems that make patients a few clicks away from consulting with a medical professional and receiving the treatment that suits their needs.

    These include telehealth, which can facilitate access to their services, such as communicating with their medical team, requesting prescription refills, reviewing test results and summaries of previous visits, and scheduling appointments or request appointments-reminders.

    Novomed chose Okadoc’s digital solution because of its unique ability to increase patient satisfaction. Okadoc deploys a holistic health platform that makes it easy to deliver care for patients. By integrating with providers’ health information system (HIS), the proprietary technology improves workflows, practice efficiency and enhances clinical insight.

    Using Novomed’s website or mobile app, patients can now search for a provider by name, clinic location, specialty, language spoken, gender, and country of education. Furthermore, patients can see real-time availabilities and book an appointment without any admin support.

    With Okadoc’s technology, they can also have video calls and chat electronically with their doctor any time of the day, including the ability to transfer and receive documents and pay for their consultations virtually. Okadoc is the only DHA and TRA-approved video consultation platform in UAE.
