  • Professional Networking Platform LinkedIn has introduced event ads and the ability to “boost” organic posts from within the brand’s page. In addition to these advertising products, they also announced custom streaming integration and mobile page analytics.

Brands can now extend the reach of posts directly from their LinkedIn page. This feature, called “Boost,” creates a campaign in the advertising account associated with your page.

Now, you can easily “Boost” any high-performing organic post directly from your LinkedIn Page. With the click of a button and a few payment details, you can easily give your most engaging or time-sensitive content a little boost to quickly expand your audience reach. It’s as simple as it sounds, and the newest way to reach a broader audience without having to learn how to use any new marketing tools. You can also select the type of boosted post audience (profile-based, interest-based, or LinkedIn audience template). Specify the language and location of your viewer’s profile, select or exclude more targeting criteria, set a daily budget, and schedule posts.

Posts can only be boosted once, and currently only events and posts that contain one image can be boosted. Posts containing polls, documents, classified ads, or pulsed articles are not currently eligible for boost.

LinkedIn’s new ad format lets you promote Event Ads, and measure the organic reach and engagement with a feature called Event Analytics.

By appearing right in the LinkedIn feed, the Event Ad feature helps you promote your event by highlighting key event details, like date, time, and how to join your event, to an entirely new audience, while also allowing members to learn if a mutual connection has expressed interest in attending.

The analytics tools provide event organisers with metrics such as participant / visitor engagement to event posts, total number of participants, unique event visits, top-ranked attendees, and live stream peak viewership.

LinkedIn Live streams have increased more than 400% year-over-year. So, they decided to add a bonus feature called Custom streaming  which allows users to livestream on LinkedIn Live via Zoom, WebEx, and OBS, and Microsoft Teams.

Through their new Mobile Page Analytics, you can see all of the visitor, follower, and content insights you get on your desktop, including both organic and boosted metrics, right from within the LinkedIn mobile app.
