Social Native announces the acquisition of Olapic
Social Native, a marketplace technology company that empowers marketers to source and optimise visual content to improve brand awareness and performance announced today the acquisition of Olapic, a leading user-generated, influencer, and short-form video content platform for hundreds of brands worldwide.
As customer attention becomes harder and harder to capture, brands need a scalable and more efficient content solution to evaluate, refine and optimize their visual content strategy.
The acquisition of Olapic solidifies Social Native’s goal of delivering an all-in-one platform that provides brands with data-driven insights, scales content creation, measures the impact of their work, and optimizes content for even greater results.
“Data is the critical ingredient that feeds artificial intelligence and ultimately drives results,” says David Shadpour, Founder and CEO of Social Native.
“Our combined machine-learning technologies benefit from millions of unique data points – from analysis of over a hundred thousand visual assets created by Social Native’s vast creator platform and the millions of visual assets sourced by Olapic over the last decade.
As a result, Social Native will provide customers with a scalable cost-efficient content source, data-rich benchmarks for creative performance, and actionable insights on which attributes of their creative are influencing results for the brand.”
Olapic’s acquisition is also a key investment for Social Native, expanding their reach globally, adding 250+ new customer logos, and significantly stepping up their revenue and staff worldwide.
The combined organisations are official creative partners of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Pinterest, and Salesforce and are trusted by global brands such as Adidas, L’Oréal, Unilever, Sony, and Nestlé Group.
Hemi Zucker, Managing Principal at OCV Partners and former CEO of J2 Global, spearheading over 170 executed acquisitions, who serves on the Social Native board, says: “Social Native has taken a strategic step toward consolidating the user-generated content space.”
“We’re excited about the new opportunities and see big potential in the integration of content sourcing, performance, and insights needs of marketers worldwide.”
Olapic will operate as a division of Social Native for the time being as the companies work on an enhanced combined product offering.
